ToV - The Sleeping Beauty

_{This is the final assignment I did for my class with Cliff Nielsen during the Spring 2009 term at Art Center College of Design. It wasn't originally supposed to be Tales of Vesperia fanart; it was supposed to be a non-descript Prince who'd gone in search of Sleeping Beauty. However the legend had been warped over time and it turns out the "Beauty" was actually the Dragon, and now it's angry and hungry and awake.

Or, originally that's how it went. Working at 8am in the morning trying to make the 5pm deadline somehow caused my nondescript prince to warp into Yuri Lowell, probably because of an innate repressed desire to draw him more. So yes, now it's Yuri facing off against the dragon.

I was told I should have gone for a more dynamic angle. I wish I had too. So even though my class and term is over, I'm re-doing it. Here it is, if you're interested: Yuri vs. Dragon REDUX}

_{I like drawing fanart, so that's probably mostly what you'll see though you might see some of my concept work (currently mostly drawn for school) as well. I'm also more of an old school fan, and usually devote more of my attention to specific characters. I draw a lot of Sasuke, which is funny because while he's my favorite of the Naruto characters by far, he's not nearly at the top of my favorites list. Could just be because of how quick he is to draw. In any case, I'm always working harder to get better! I hope you enjoy browsing through my gallery.}

047 - Ferrari F430 and Thanks For 10k!

_{Outside of Pottery Barn in Old Town Pasadena, there's usually a lovely, lovely, lovely Aston Martin DB9 parked on the street. I see it occasionally when I decide to take the local route to school in the afternoon, and I'll drive past it slowly and stare a bit before continuing on my way.

Today, I wanted to show my friend (and current roommate for the summer) Mocha the DB9, and took her on a detour down that road before heading back home. Well, the DB9 wasn't parked there today. Instead, it was an absolutely gorgeous Ferrari F430 (I believe) parked on the street. This time, I circled the block three times before parking to walk up and down the street, staring at it discretely.

One day...one day...

In other news, still not liking Audis very much.

OH and btw, I recently passed the 10,000 page views mark! Eeeeee! Thank you, everyone~! This is a real milestone. I remember it took me 4 years to pass the 10k mark on my previous account which I will not mention because that stuff sucked and hi, but it's taken me just one year to pass it on this account! Hee, thanks to everyone so much for all the watches and all your support! Even though I have long droughts where I don't really post much. ;-; I'll try to be more active soon!
